Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery

Out of all the cemeteries in the Chicago area, Mount Carmel is by far my favorite. Consecrated in 1901 it's mainly the final resting place for Chicago's Italian Community. The sheer amount of statuary at this cemetery is staggering to the eye. You'll catch a glimpse of an interesting statue only to lose it seconds later when you turn the car around for a better view. Some of the photos below are repeats of Page One but this time they are in color and hopefully they'll offer a better view.
